When you create an account with the Irish Road Rules app, we collect your name and email address. As you use the app, we also store your quiz scores, lesson progress, bookmarks, and language preference (English or Bengali). We do not collect any payment information, device identifiers, or location data.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide and improve the Irish Road Rules learning experience. This includes saving your progress across sessions, personalising lesson recommendations, and calculating quiz results server-side. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third-party marketers.
3. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored securely on Era Tech Ltd servers hosted at api-irish.eratechltd.com. We use HTTPS for all data in transit and enforce password hashing and token-based authentication (JWT) to protect your account. Your data is never sold to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs or analytics trackers. Server infrastructure is provided by cloud hosting providers bound by their own data protection agreements. We do not share personally identifiable information with any external party beyond what is required to operate the service.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. You can delete your account directly within the app (Profile → Delete Account), which permanently removes your account and all associated data. Alternatively, you may email us at support@eratechltd.com to request data access or deletion.
6. Data Retention
If you delete your account, all associated personal data — including your profile, quiz history, bookmarks, and progress — is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of the deletion request. Anonymised, non-identifiable aggregate statistics may be retained for product improvement purposes.
7. Children's Privacy
The Irish Road Rules app is intended for individuals preparing for the Irish driving theory test and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
